BEFORE YOU START
Before you begin
A few practical steps will help make your indicative result more useful. Each attempt contains 12 questions selected from a bank of 100: 4 reading, 4 listening and 4 sentence-writing tasks, across A1–C1. Each attempt has the same balance of skills and difficulty.
Complete the test without external help.
You will need them for listening sections.
Give each question your full attention.
Allow about 8–10 minutes. There is no time limit.
Choose based on your current English, even when unsure.
Use the sound on your device. Listening uses an English browser voice. Your result is a short CEFR screening estimate. C2 and speaking require a fuller assessment.
